Dear athletes,
Dear coaches,

subject to the final approval of the city of Gent, we will only be able to hold the Valckenier IFAM Gent Indoor on February 13th, 2021 under strict protective and hygiene measures. Each individual can do their part to minimize the risk of infection as much as possible. The following rules of conduct are a basic prerequisite for holding the event:

A. General obligations of conduct

Corona TEST
Every athlete should show a NEGATIVE PCR CORONA test (not older than 48 hours before the race). Every athlete can bring his/her personal coach with him/her. To have access to the stadium, they also have to show a negative PCR test!

Hygiene regulations
The behavior guidelines of the hygiene concept must be observed by all persons at the event at all times. Violations lead to the withdrawal of accreditation and thus to exclusion from the event.

Distance regulations
A distance of at least 1.5 m between people (groups) should be maintained at all times (with the exception of the warm-up area for athletes).

Mouth and nose covering
It is compulsory to wear a mouth and nose covering in all areas outside the competition area and the warm-up area. Sufficient disposable masks are kept ready for all those involved if necessary.

Refrain from greeting
rituals Shaking hands, hugging or other greeting rituals should be avoided.

Compliance with the sneeze and cough label
The rules of coughing etiquette must be followed. When coughing, pay particular attention to the distance to other people and turn away from them. Hold the crook of your arm in front of your mouth and nose when coughing and sneezing. Wash your hands thoroughly after sneezing or coughing.

Disinfection and cleaning
It is mandatory to wash or disinfect hands as well as to regularly clean and disinfect contact surfaces, sanitary rooms and dishes. Hand disinfectants and disposable disinfectant wipes will be sufficiently available.

Avoidance of waiting times
It is important to avoid waiting times at the entrance. All participants are requested to come to the competition hall only at the authorized times and to have the accreditation ready. No persons will be accredited during the competition. At peak times, those involved are asked to keep enough distance from other people.

Presence in the competition hall
All those involved are only allowed to be in the competition hall at the assigned times. Leave the competition hall immediately after the competition. The trainers are only allowed to stay in the competition hall during the times when their athletes are active during the competition.

Recognizing symptoms of illness
In the event of any symptoms of illness, there is no entry to the competition hall and isolation in the hotel. In particular, the following symptoms should be observed: cough, fever, runny nose, sore throat, general weakness, odor and taste disorders, diarrhea.
Persons who have tested positive for Corona within the last 14 days before the start of the event will not be admitted.

request All those involved have to answer questions about current symptoms in advance. Participation is excluded if these questions are not answered or only partially answered.

Contact tracking
The traceability of all groups of people is guaranteed. For this purpose, data is collected for contact person tracking. The personal data is processed in accordance with the applicable data protection regulations and secured against unauthorized access and is completely destroyed after the period of 4 weeks.
Upon request, the data will be made available to the health department in Flanders.

B. Special duties of conduct

Arrival by plane
Participants arriving from abroad are obliged, regardless of any entry requirements, to present a negative test result for an infection with the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus on paper or in an electronic document in English or French that is not older than that on arrival than 48 hours.

When the foreign participants are picked up at the airport, the driver service checks for a negative test result. If this is not the case, travel to Gent is not permitted. If necessary, the athlete can have a PCR test carried out at the airport at his own expense and must wait at the airport until the test result is available in a hotel at his own expense. If the test result is negative, we will ensure collection.

Arrival by car or train
Before entering the athletes' hotel, all participants are checked to determine whether a negative PCR test result, which must not be older than 48 hours at the time of arrival, is present.

Accreditation for all participants who stay overnight in the athletes' hotel takes place after arrival at the hotel. Participants will receive further information on meal arrangements and room assignments at the hotel. Accreditation for participants who arrive on the day of the competition takes place in the competition hall.

Ban on contact
For all participants who stay overnight in the event hotel, there is a strict ban on contact with people outside the hotel during their stay. Participants who arrive on Friday or Saturday morning have the opportunity to train in the competition hall on Friday after prior registration. Training units outside the competition hall in public spaces are expressly prohibited and lead to the exclusion of the participant.

The participants can walk the distance between the event hotel and the competition hall, but we have also cardrivers.

Time slots
Time slots have been set up for the meeting on Saturday, within which the participants can stay in the competition hall. These are set up in such a way that there is sufficient time to warm up and leave the hall. After the competition, you must return to the hotel immediately if you have stayed overnight.

Award ceremony
There will be no award ceremony.
